All rides start and finish at the Rail Trail Cafe

March/April rides will start at 10am(weather dependent)

Group rides are Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.

Thursday we have a road and gravel group. Nancy Hichok will be leading the road group

Thursday's starting April 1st.

Start times for the season:

April:10am

May:9am

June/July/August:8am

September:9am

Starting April 15th Graham or I will endeavour to a send out the route for the day before the ride. If nothing is sent out before the ride the route will be determined by the group in the morning of the ride.

We are pretty wimpy here in the Okanagan when it rains. If it is raining at the time of our scheduled start time do not expect group leaders to show up for the ride.

Some road safety rules/expectations for our groups in traffic and crossing busy highways.

Two things, 1) when we are crossing major highways with a large group we should stop by the side of the road and wait for a clearing and then cross the road, 2) when a vehicle stops for us in the middle of the highway we should wave it on and wait for a clearing and then cross. I think it’s important for all of us to act consistently when we are cycling in large groups (we can’t have some people waving the vehicle on while others are crossing in front of it)."
